About

Wayfinding, made clear and open.

AxisAtlas is the mapping platform in the Axis Meridi suite — built on open data, free to use, and private by design.

Most map apps answer one question — “how do I drive there?” — and quietly assume you’re starting from where you’re standing. Real journeys aren’t like that. You weigh the subway against the car, the bike against the walk, and you plan trips that start somewhere other than your front door.

AxisAtlas was built to answer the bigger question: what’s the best way to get from anywhere to anywhere? Set two points and it lays every option in front of you — drive, transit, bike and walk — with real times and real directions, so you can decide for yourself.

Part of Axis Meridi

AxisAtlas is one of the products in the Axis Meridi suite, operated by Veydros Group. It shares the suite’s design language and its commitment to tools that are fast, honest and respectful of the people who use them.

What we believe

The principles behind the product.

Clarity over clutter

A map should make a decision easier, not bury it. Every screen earns its place; nothing is there to upsell you.

Open by default

We build on open mapping data and open transit feeds — a foundation that belongs to everyone and improves for everyone.

Private by design

No account, no ad profile, no log of where you go. Your trips are yours.

What’s next

Where AxisAtlas is headed.

Mobile apps

Native iPhone and Android apps are in the works, with the same multi-modal directions built for the road.

Deeper transit

More cities and regions as their open schedule feeds come online, plus richer trip detail.

Saved & shared trips

Quick access to the routes you take often, and even easier ways to share a plan.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Is AxisAtlas free?

Yes. AxisAtlas is free to use in any browser, with no account required.

Do I need to sign up or log in?

No. You can open the map and get directions straight away — there’s nothing to create and nothing to remember.

Does it track me?

No. AxisAtlas doesn’t create an advertising profile or keep a log of your trips. It asks the mapping services only for what’s needed to draw your route.

Which areas are covered?

Driving, cycling and walking directions work almost everywhere the open map reaches. Public transit is available in the many cities and regions that publish open schedule data, and keeps expanding.

Is there a mobile app?

Native iOS and Android apps are coming soon. In the meantime, AxisAtlas works great in your phone’s browser.
